About the author

Lærke Bagger (b. 1985) is a bold knitwear designer known for an uncompromising style that blends fashion, art and handicraft with a raw, honest and humorous tone. She is the author of the bestsellers Strik and Strik 2, which have sold 65,000 and 30,000 copies respectively. Her books have been published in Sweden, England, Norway, the USA, Germany, Finland, Iceland and the Netherlands.

Lærke Bagger exhibited at the Arken Museum of Modern Art in 2025, has held workshops at home and abroad, and has inspired thousands of followers on social media — 250,000 followers on Instagram — with her colorful designs and personal storytelling. On TV, she has hosted the DR programs Bagger and Feldthaus taber masken. She has also toured the country extensively with her live show Strik & Drik, more than 85 shows for over 50,000 audience members.

Lærke Bagger trained as a textile designer at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in hand knitting.
